Occupational Therapist (Sensory Integration Specialist) - Continuous opening

Office: Field UK Onshore

RMI is seeking dynamic health care professionals to join our team. We have ad hoc opportunities for virtual consultations.

SUMMARY

Provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and adults with sensory processing difficulties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive sensory integration assessments using standardized tools and clinical observations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients, utilizing sensory integration techniques to address sensory processing and motor planning issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, and educational staff, to ensure holistic care.
  • Educate and support families and caregivers on sensory integration strategies to use at home and in the community.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in continuing professional development to stay current with best practices in sensory integration and occupational therapy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Certification in Sensory Integration (e.g., through Sensory Integration Education or equivalent).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience working with individuals with sensory processing difficulties.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics, and community-based environments.
  • Knowledge of additional therapeutic approaches and interventions.
